Forum for East Dorset 's Third Sector

Representatives from East Dorset 's Third Sector organisations celebrated Valentine's Day by attending an event to discuss the possibility of setting up a 'Third Sector Forum'. The Forum could help to raise awareness of the sector, provide them with a greater voice on the issues that they face, and increase support for such organisations. The event included an overview of the role of Dorset Community Action and a snapshot of the sector in East Dorset , by Colin Brady, Chair of Dorset Community Action. Simon Woodcock, Community Development Manager for East Dorset District Council gave an overview of the Council's Grant scheme and the role of the East Dorset Community Partnership.
