BREAKTHROUGH - FEBRUARY 2008 - LOU BROWN

Lou Brown (above, right) is an impressive Bournemouth-based singer songwriter who has started to make an impact on the national acoustic scene. Her debut album What Are You Singing About was launched to great acclaim at Bournemouth 's Centre Stage last September and already, a number of her self-penned songs are becoming standards across the area. When playing live she's augmented by Bobby Burke on guitar and Aimee Newsome-Stone on backing vocals. With supreme song-writing skills and an amazing husky and clear vocal range, she's a musical force to be reckoned with.
